ASN (Autonomous System Number) concentration measures how much of the total Solana network stake runs on a given network operator's infrastructure. A validator on an ASN that hosts many other validators contributes to network correlation risk — a single ASN-level outage or compromise could affect a meaningful slice of consensus. The SFDP applies a hard cap effective May 1, 2026: validator ASN concentration must remain below 25% and data-center concentration below 15% for SFDP eligibility.

At epoch 971, the wiki universe contains 10 validators on ASNs holding less than 0.10% of total network stake — meaning these validators add new ASN diversity rather than reinforcing existing concentration. See the ASN glossary entry for the underlying mechanics.

Methodology

  • Universe: the 28 validators in this wiki's directory
  • Source: Stakewiz API (asn_concentration, city_concentration), snapshot at epoch 971 (~2026-05-15)
  • Primary ranking metric: ASN concentration ascending (lower = better — validator's ASN holds less network stake)
  • Tiebreaker: city concentration ascending (under-concentrated cities preferred)
  • Excluded: none — all 28 validators have published ASN data

Concentration risks at the other end

This list deliberately omits the validators contributing the most ASN concentration. For completeness, three operators in this directory sit on heavily concentrated infrastructure:

  • Helius (profile) — AS20326 (TeraSwitch, Frankfurt), ASN concentration 29.21%
  • Jupiter (profile) — AS20326 (TeraSwitch, Frankfurt), ASN concentration 29.64%
  • Jito Labs (profile) — AS20326 (TeraSwitch, Singapore), ASN concentration 29.21%

These three validators each run on TeraSwitch (AS20326) infrastructure. The cumulative TeraSwitch share of network stake exceeds 29%, approaching the SFDP 25% threshold effective May 2026. Stakers concerned with decentralization should weigh this when choosing among the top-stake-weight cohort.

A fourth wiki-listed validator on AS20326 — Bitwise Onchain Solutions — operates from a different TeraSwitch location but contributes to the same ASN-level concentration.

How to use this ranking

A validator at 0.00% ASN concentration is, in practice, the only meaningfully staked validator on its ASN — delegating SOL to it adds genuinely new network diversity. A validator at 25%+ ASN concentration adds capital to an already-concentrated operator.

For SFDP eligibility specifically (the Foundation's program that bootstraps new validator stake), the May 2026 thresholds are hard cutoffs: validators above 25% ASN or 15% data-center concentration are excluded from new stake matching. The current TeraSwitch cohort is the most visible concentration risk on Solana mainnet in the wiki universe.
